This entry is quite a long time coming, but I’m excited to finally share a post with images from this session. During the summer of 2015, Josh and I photographed and filmed our friends Jordan and Aneila with their dear car (#georgeharrisonthebeetle on Instagram). The light blue antique VW beetle “George Harrison” was a passion of theirs to work on, so we met with them at their home to create some personal images.
We wanted the session to be very simple and low key. With that said, we arrived with cameras in hand, a handful of medium format analog film, snipped florals from Josh’s grandparents’ front yard, and some hair + makeup supplies. Jordan and Aneila were styled around the outfits they owned and I attempted to provide simple touches with hair and makeup. Before we arrived at their home, Aneila foraged some Queen Anne’s Lace to add to the bouquet that was tied together. In no way, am I a professional when it comes to styling – but we were excited with how it turned out for what we had to start with! The weather was warm, the light was lovely, and we created some fun portraits on a summer afternoon.
