Last year, Josh and I drove to Pennsylvania for Lauren and Jamie’s Historic Shady Lane wedding. Upon our arrival, heavy rain began to pour – but the weather cleared up just in time for their lovely outdoor ceremony in front of a greenhouse! They first met a few years back (through their church) and are two kind, caring souls. They have a strong passion for helping others and, to give you an idea, here’s a little snippet from Lauren about what she does and how they met:
I am an artist at heart and a lover of people. My heart is for missions and traveling the world to help broken people heal. I was taught film photography early on then went on to do weddings for an organization in LA. I found that the posing and demands of photography were just not for me, but I wanted to use my love of photography to help people some how! I went on to take an internship in Cambodia to teach photography to girls who had been rescued from sex trafficking. This was used alongside art therapy so that they could express their feelings, thoughts and emotion through the incredible art of photography.
Jamie and I met through our church in January 2014. I saw him in this great coat and was instantly attracted. We truly got to know each other over the next few months through our group of friends. We always ended up talking to each other or walking together so, before we were even dating, we pretty much knew that this was it for both of us. Our foundation is our faith and our mission to live our lives as a reflection of His love to this world. I had never met a man that I respected and that made me laugh as much as Jamie!
A huge thank you goes out to Britt – one of Lauren’s bridesmaids and owner of Woven & Wed!
