Hannah & Drew’s wedding was one for the books. I first met with Hannah and her sister Lacy at one of my favorite local coffee shops (Mudhouse) – and we chatted for an hour over all things wedding. Drew actually grew up in the Northern Baltimore area, where I had spent the last several years of my life. Having just moved to Charlottesville from Baltimore last year, it was so nice to connect with a sweet couple with ties to both Maryland and Virginia.

The two of them said their I Do’s at the beautiful Wolf Trap Farm in Gordonsville, Virginia. Huge thanks to my boyfriend (and incredibly talented cinematographer) Josh for assisting and shooting photo with me that day.

Hannah was also kind enough to share a little snippet on how they met, along with their proposal story: “The two of us met through family friends. Until we officially met, we were both legends through story and conversation. It was fun to finally meet the person everyone was talking about! Once we met and started spending time together, it was history.

We were dating long distance and he would come to visit on weekends. One weekend he came early and set everything up for the proposal without me knowing. I arrived to what was supposed to be a group hangout and bonfire. Instead, it was a beautiful backyard filled with twinkle-lights, flowers, champagne, and a fire pit; all perfectly set-up with no one there but the two of us. It was private, romantic, and magical. I was thoroughly surprised and delighted.”
